Design Steelhorse Concepts works closely with clients ensuring they are fully involved in the web site design from inception through to deployment. You will get early visibility of how your site will work ensuring that you are involved in the process and able to provide input throughout.
The first step is to get a quote for the site. This can be done online or often as a result of a series of meetings where the requirement is quite complex. The idea of this exercise is to be clear what your objectives are and how the web site will meet those objectives. The core aspects of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) will also be established such as whether or not the site will use frames or not, what are the main keywords etc. It is important that SEO is considered in incorporated into the web site design from the outset as this will play a key role in determining how much traffic that your web site will attract.
The next step is where Steelhorse Concepts will produce a skeleton web site which incorporates the web site design. If you do not have a domain then this will typically be set up as a secure sub-domain of this site like the example here.
The early visibility this approach provides allows you to see very early on how your web site will look and how the proposed navigation works. In essence what visitors will experience when they visit your web site in terms of look and feel.
On the pages of the skeleton website Steelhorse Concepts will place a short narrative describing what the content should be for that page. If the page has functionality - for example the visitor is ordering products or backoffice functionality - how that process will work. Steelhorse Concepts will work with you, modifying the web site design until you are happy with it.
Once you are happy with aspects of the site you can start entering your content directly into the site. Meanwhile Steelhorse Concepts will be developing any database or other technical functionality as outlined in the skeleton site. The site has now moved on into the Development phase during which the design can be further refined if required.
